John McGee

While not technically a native, John got to Colorado as fast as possible after being born in Washington state where his parents were stationed for the Navy. John grew up in Longmont and attended Silver Creek High School where he was a three sport athlete in football, wrestling and track. After High School John attended Colorado State University earning his bachelors of science in health and exercise science with a minor in business, after graduating from CSU he began his career as a strength and conditioning coach at Colorado State University, then Arizona State University and lastly the University of Wyoming.

While at the University of Wyoming John received his MBA and married his wife, Lisa who also grew up in Longmont. John joined New York Life in 2013 and was promoted into their management team in 2015, in 2018 John decided to leave management and join the High Point team as a financial advisor through Eagle Strategies LLC.

John and his wife Lisa, live in Windsor, Colorado with their daughter Brooklyn. John is the defensive coordinator for Severance High School and enjoys playing golf and riding his motorcycle and bicycles in his free time.
